One particular attraction of the Murcia / Costa Calida region of Spain are the 'Golf property resorts' currently being constructed here. This is an American concept, newly imported to Spain, which is proving to be extremely popular, even amongst non-golfers. Perhaps you've already seen advertisements for the property in the UK press and on UK television?
Golf property resorts are residential property developments built around a full 18-hole golf course. They typically contain: a 4 or 5 star hotel, a spa, a health club, tennis courts, swimming pools, bars and restaurants and a number of shops. They are usually private, with 24 hour security, and luxurious. Property available typically includes: apartments, penthouses, town houses and villas.
Apart from their obvious appeal to golfers, golf property resorts are also proving to be very popular amongst non-golfers and investors, reflecting their all-year-round attraction, especially in this climate, and hence their much higher rental potential (the summer season, plus the high seasons for golf, covering most of the year).
